Raytoons Cartoon Avenue is a the leading open anthology comic book magazine, allowing creators the opportunity to have their art and writings printed in a comic book form. We take the creations that the larger comic book companies reject. We are open to newbies who have the promise of great things to come. We also don’t charge any kind of fee like many of the printing presses do. Creators are also free to advertise their work in any way that they choose. Weighing at a whopping 52 pages, you are guaranteed to find plently of awsome, unique *genre free* stories. Here you'll find storys of all types: humorous stories, fantasy stories, sci-fi stories, historical stories, and much much more! All comics and stories will be developed for general audiences, meaning both children and adults will be able to read and enjoy them. Here is information on how subscribe to the magazine or just order a sample issue: (Just right click on the picture and select "Print Picture..." to print.)
Raytoons Cartoon Avenue Magazine is currently accepting submissions! Raytoons is always happy to look at new cartoon features for possible as possible additions to our magazine. Here are the answers to some of the questions that you might have: Will this magazine be a monthly magazine? Raytoons Cartoon Avenue comes out every couple a months, 6 issues per year. In the future, this magazine will hopefully become a monthly magazine. The stories you submit can be as big as you want them to be. If the story is too big for one issue, it can be "to be continued" into the next one. I would recommend a cover page for comic stories that are longer than a few pages long. The cover page would be then included with the story inside the book. The idea of being able print out a monthly series is very important, for if we are able to accomplish that, then we can get distributed by one of the big distributors like Diamond Comic Distributors. You can learn more about Diamond at http://diamondcomics.com/ Will I get copies of the magazines? Yes. I will send you a free copy... or more, depending on how much you contribute to the magazine. For any additional copies, you will have to pay the printing costs. Also what form would you like to recieve ? Color or black and white ??? Right now the comic book will be in Black & White / Greyscale with a cardstock color cover since it would cost the same to print over 50 pages of Greyscale as it would cost to print 16 pages of color. The comic will also printed in full-bleeds, meaning that it prints up to the edge of the page. Its ok if your artwork is in color. It can easily be converted to grayscale for the magazine.
If I work with you, do I keep my rights for my story??? Yes. I'm not after the rights of other peoples comics. I even have a license agreement that you can sign to help protect your rights at: http://www.raytoonscartoons.com/contract_of_agreement.pdf If you think there anything should be added to the agreement, let me know and I will make sure to add it. The license agreement should also be sent to me before the deadline for the first issue. Is there anything that you will not print? Absolutely. We will not print anything that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes upon the rights of another person or company. We will print no comics containing scenes of extreme violence or of an explicit sexual nature. We welcome you to email us if you have further questions regarding this. Will you pay me for my services? We are just starting out, so we have no plans to pay artists just yet. But if we really like your work, we will probably do whatever we can to convince you to stay. How do I submit my artwork? Submissions may be sent to: My email address at raytoonscartoons@yahoo.com or ray@raytoonscartoons.com Online submissions can also be sent to me through www.sendspace.com Snail-Mail submissions should be sent to P.O. Box 784, Templeton, CA 93465-9775 What file formats should the submissions be? Your files MUST be 300 DPI (dots per inch). If the resolution of your files is less than 300 DPI, the print quality will not look as good. Files can be in Tiff, PSD, or high quality JPG formats. We accept some other formats as well. Email me if you have any questions. How big should my artwork be? Cartoons are to be no bigger than 8.5x11 paper size. Email me if you have any questions about this.
